I'm a Slovenian illustrator from Maribor, born March 14th 1988. I started working at a very early age and got my first commissions when I was just 16 from my teachers at school for their text books, websites and other media. That's when I also started working in digital media starting with Adobe Photoshop and then still Macromedia Flash creating simple vignette illustrations, banners and learned how to animate, though I never really animated anything substantial. In the last few years I've moved on to Adobe Illustrator that allows me to create crisp and clean illustrations that can easily be used in almost any media no matter scale. I've also learned how to use Adobe Indesign.
Later I enrolled in the University of Maribor to become an art teacher where I graduated in 2014. I wrote my thesis on 20th century illustration and digital illustrating. While a student I also worked on commissions for different companies and groups, doing illustration, logo design, t-shirt design and poster art. I also briefly worked as a substitute art teacher on the Middle school for Design in Maribor, teaching drawing, art and art history. I lead multiple workshops for children and young people around the country from how to draw comics to painting and illustrating.
I've been a member of the Slovenian Organization of Girl Guides and Boy Scouts (Združenje Slovenskih Katoliških Skavtinj in Skavtov - ZSKSS) since I have been 10 years old and am currently still a member. Thanks to the organization I've honed my illustrative and design skills from a very early age, contributing to logo designs, brochure illustration and calendar and poster art. I also gathered a lot of experience as a scout leader and all around organizer of events and gatherings.
From my early age I drew my inspirations from local comic artists, like Miki Muster but later developed my own style that I consider a blend of everything I've learned over the years. Still, in almost all my work you'll see an illustrative, comic and caricatured approach to drawing that I have maintained throughout my lifetime.
